Our Leadership Team are full-time
Summer camp has been our family’s passion since 1966. Camping for us is a full-time commitment and we spend all year planning and preparing for the magic of summer. We are dedicated to providing your child with personal attention and the very best summer fun experience. Every year we strive to add to our already exciting and innovative programs and activities, while maintaining the highest standard of quality and care that parents have come to expect from us.
We look forward to building a summer home for you and your family and we know that your child’s time at Camp Riverwood will be a rewarding experience filled with lots of fun, new friends and unforgettable memories.
We also know that great staff is an essential part of a successful camp program. As such, we are dedicated to hiring quality staff who are responsible, fun and caring role models. Each staff member is carefully chosen – we hire only the best!
You can contact us year round to discuss your child’s camp experience and we welcome, encourage and appreciate your feedback.
Lori has been involved in camp her whole life and brings with her a lifetime of camping experience as director of Camp Riverwood. Growing up, she attended day camps and residential camps, worked as both a counsellor and a specialist. She also had the opportunity to work as a special needs co-ordinator and administrative assistant in the camp office at Green Acres Day Camp. Lori studied at the University of Western Ontario, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree as well as her Law Degree. Since receiving her law degree, Lori is excited about bringing her knowledge, experience and passion to Camp Riverwood leadership team. Lori is dedicated to ensuring that new and exciting programs are always available to campers and to making sure that each camper and their family enjoys their experience at Camp Riverwood.
Eddy brings with him an immense amount of camp experience. He is not only the Founding Director of Camp Riverwood in 2006, but also of Camp Green Acres in Markham in 1966. His love and passion for camp invigorates him and he spends ten months of the year preparing and planning for each season. In the summer, he enjoys speaking with parents, getting to know campers and ensuring that everything runs smoothly so that our campers have the most fun and safe summer possible.
